Abstract:Most publications in China require the authors to provide an English version of the title and abstract of their academic papers. Meanwhile, with the continuous breakthroughs achieved in terms of AI and big data technology in recent years, many authors may directly turn to platforms for translating the abstracts. However, some authors' post-editing abilities may be lacking, thus resulting in low-quality translations of the abstracts. Based on some abstracts' translation and polishing cases, this paper firstly explores the critical rules of post-translation editing by analyzing the machine-translated texts; then discusses frequently seen problems from aspects such as translation method, wording style, tense selection, and voice application; and finally proposes corresponding post-editing strategies.

2 措辭隨意,宜學術化專業化
論文用詞區別于其它文體,而論文摘要,也要求措辭盡量言簡意賅,例如,可以用 suggest來表示“建議”時,就不用 make a suggestion; 能用describe描述清楚的地方,就不用make a description。同時,兼顧學術表達的需求,宜選擇意義相對明確的詞,以便于讀者理解[9]。例如,表達研究背景的詞匯:considering(鑒于),reviewing(回顧)等;表達研究目的的詞匯:intend (旨在),aim to (目的在于),in reply to (為了回答)等;表示研究內容的詞匯,analyze(分析),illustrate(闡明),dwell on(詳細論述),discuss(討論),point out(指出),focus on(關注)等;表達研究結論的,conclude(得出結論), reveal(顯示了),predict(預知),indicate(表明了),demonstrate(證明了)等;表達建議提出的詞匯:suggest(建議), propose(提議), recommend(推薦)等。
